5.   Cytoreductive surgery with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy program (CRS + HIPEC). Peritoneal metastases (PM) are an end-stage presentation of multiple malignancies. It has a dismal prognosis. The standard treatment of PM is systemic chemotherapy which has a limited benefit. Recently peritoneal metastasis is considered by many as an advanced locoregional disease and a new treatment is offered for this lethal condition.

The treatment consists of two parts:

A surgical procedure that treats the macroscopic disease in the abdomen and pelvis.

An intraoperative heated chemotherapy delivered by a dedicated machine to treat the residual microscopic disease.

*Both interventions are given in one surgical procedure.
